I hated taking pictures with my phone, probably taken a total of 200 over the course of 4 years but the moment I got a camera I had over 1000 shutters within the first month! It's crazy the amount of freedom and control you get with a DSLR/Mirrorless camera.

The ROIDER'S plan book: 1. HIDE the STEROID use. Don't ever bring up STEROIDS. LIE & DENY their use when asked. If that doesn't work, go to plan 2. 2. DOWNPLAY STEROIDS. Tell people STEROIDS doesn't do anything. If that doesn't work, go to plan 3. 3. COMPARE STEROIDS to other UNHEALTHY things like ALCOHOL, CIGARETTES, ETC... "Try" and JUSTIFY using STEROIDS. If that doesn't work, go to plan 4. 4. Call them names & CURSE at them. Even if you admit to using STEROIDS, you still have FAKE muscles and FAKE strength! Stay natural buddy!

Realest moment for me was looking online at other lifters who are around 2meters tall to see how their physique looks to get a lose impression of what i could theoretically look like. Only to come to the conclusion that the natty ones still dont look that different after YEARS of lifting and that there's no reason to get into bodybuilding instead of regular training at the gym

How do you tell if a girl really likes you? Let's say she takes you upstairs, turns off the lights, throws you on the bed, tears off your clothes, and has rough sex with you. Does she like you?.........Well, not really because it was pretty dark, and she didn't actually say she liked you.

As far as I can tell, the point of the concept is to comfort people by devaluing their happiness. It seems like a denial of the very possibility that one's life could be better than it is. I think it would make sense from a negative utilitarian point of view (even phrasing it necessarily as a 'fear' implies some kind of irrational preoccupation with happiness to me, as opposed to neutrally understanding it as a negative evaluation of missed positive experiences) but if happiness has intrinsic value then we are all missing out on either happiness or more happiness than we're currently experiencing and the same is true for potential persons who will never come into existence and the deceased (even if, being unconscious, the dead and the never-born aren't harmed by their missing out on the happiness they could otherwise have felt in life). Insofar as the concept can be applied to experiences or states that are considered inherently beneficial for some reason that has nothing to do with their being pleasurable then I'm all for persuading people that those things don't ultimately matter so it doesn't matter whether or not they experience them or if they exist and that could be beneficial because viewing something as bad intrinsically primes you to have a negative emotional response to it (I wouldn't try to persuade someone with acne or heavy scarring or male pattern baldness or some trait that's considered conventionally unattractive that their appearance is bad for example. I'm for their changing it, if they can, to minimize body dysphoria or body self-consciousness or unrequited attraction but their appearance itself is nothing that warrants feeling bad about). The frustration of one's desire for happiness or pleasurable experiences is intrinsically painful but happiness is worth wanting which is why I wouldn't try to assure someone on their death bed that their dying is no big deal, and I'm sure a non-hedonist who considers 'life' (whatever that is) to be inherently sacred or good would take the same approach. The way that you show 'sympathy' to people is by acknowledging their disadvantage and wishing that they were better off. If the idea is that some experience won't be as pleasurable as the person assumes it would be that might circumstantially be true but insofar as a fantasy experience is pleasurable the real world experience would also have to be pleasurable since it's the same 'information' or experience (the image of a purple sky in my mind's eye is identical to what the non-imagined visual perception of a purple sky would be). The real world experience might not match the fantasy experience, there might be a million things that would apply to the real world experience or that was never accounted for that aren't present in the fantasy of it, and I can definitely see how pointing this out might reduce regret over what could have been in some scenarios - if, for example, someone promises me a million dollars if I meet up with them at a particular location at a particular time and I attempt to but I'm stuck in traffic or can't make it, it would be a great relief if I found out that it was a scam and the person was planning to rob or assault me, that helps to deal with the expectation-based kind of 'frustration' with not getting a million dollars (or having the perfect vacation or going to a great party or whatever experience someone assumes would be pleasurable) but it doesn't help with the basic desire frustration that the person would feel if they didn't experience what they assumed or wanted X real life experience to be. If I'm deaf and there's nothing in the world that I want more than to experience music, telling me that there is no really enjoyable music in the world doesn't fix the ultimate issue (whether it exists or not, I want to hear it), it just cements the fact that my desire could never be satisfied. I'm lucky to not have a concrete understanding of how intense heroin or MDMA or some hard drug-induced euphoria can be because I don't know what I'm missing out on, missing out on it isn't hurting me but I'm still more than willing to concede that I am in fact missing out on it. When I was younger, it never occurred to me that happiness could be intrinsically valuable (at around the time I became an atheist I would have said that an action was bad if it caused suffering or 'frustrated' someone's preference in some way), my intuitions have actually adapted to my beliefs over the years. There was a time when the 'pain is the only harm' position actually made sense to me on some level but I rejected it because I thought that it could justify painlessly killing people in their sleep (I remember remembering being really bothered by infidelity and I did understand the idea that if it didn't cause the person who's cheated on pain then there was no problem but the double standard still bothered me and I assumed that most cheaters did not hold the hedonistic position; that they thought being cheated on was inherently disadvantageous to their partner but did it anyway). It seems to me that even people who aren't unusually neurotic or 'pessimistic' generally don't take the idea of happiness mattering, in terms of moral consideration, seriously. The concept of 'mental illness' is mostly negative for example (ie. 'mental health,' if we're not talking about the 'personality disorders,' is basically centered around the absence of unusually intense, prolonged or frequent emotional distress, the object of that emotional distress might have something to do with it as well. 'Mental health' is generally not considered the presence of happiness per se, as far as I can tell, in fact pleasurable mania; when it is pleasurable, is considered pathological). There seems to be this general understanding with many people that people actually have no real desire for pleasure as an end in itself, or that pleasure is only relief from some negative feeling. People don't really want to be sexually promiscuous because a sex drive or a desire for pleasurable sexual experiences isn't a real thing, for example, they are trying to prove their masculinity and seek out validation because society teaches them that 'real men sleep with lots of women' or because they have daddy issues and are trying to compensate by seeking out affection from men, if they want emotional intimacy it's not because the intimacy itself is pleasurable; they're clingy because they're deeply insecure, again they probably need validation or are terrified of being 'abandoned,' if they seek out entertainment it's to alleviate boredom as opposed to feeling boredom to begin with only because the have a desire for pleasurable stimulation, if they seek out companionship it's to alleviate loneliness and not that they experience loneliness to begin with because they find companionship pleasurable etc. The idea is that if you fix some internal 'defect' or stressor then the desire for that experience would go away.
